Privacy

Sam Webpage Summarizer (“Sam”) is an iOS app published by Dine Creative Design LLC (“Dine”) for summarizing and translating webpages from the share sheet. It does not require a Dine account, and Dine does not operate a separate server for Sam requests.

Information Stored on Your Device

Sam stores your OpenRouter API key in the iOS Keychain. It also stores configuration, cached model options, reasoning options, and recent archive items locally in the app group shared by the main app and share extension. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to Dine. Archive items remain until you delete them individually or remove the app.

Information Sent to OpenRouter

When you ask Sam to summarize or translate a webpage, Sam extracts the readable page text and sends that text, the page URL, title, selected action, model, and generation settings to OpenRouter so the selected model can return a response. All requests are made over HTTPS using the OpenRouter API key you provide.

OpenRouter may process request metadata such as token usage, cost, and model routing. Sam stores returned token and cost metadata in your local archive when it is available. OpenRouter's handling of your data is governed by its own policy, available at openrouter.ai/privacy .

What Dine Receives

Dine does not receive your OpenRouter API key, webpage content, local archive, or Sam settings through a Dine-operated backend. Dine operates no servers that store, log, or process Sam usage data.

Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

Sam does not include third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs. Sam does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, and does not display advertisements.

Children's Privacy

Sam is not directed to children under 13, and Dine does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through Sam, contact us at the address below so we can address it.

Your Choices

  • You can remove your OpenRouter API key from Sam settings.
  • You can delete archive items from the app.
  • You can delete the app to remove local app data from your device.

Your Rights

Because Dine does not collect or retain your Sam data on its own servers, region-specific rights such as access, correction, or deletion requests under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA are exercised through the controls listed under “Your Choices” above. For data handled by OpenRouter, please contact OpenRouter directly using the information in their privacy policy.

Changes to This Policy

Dine may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL, and material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date below. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
